So Much

So Much
Title: So Much
Genre: Multicultural
Author: Trish Cookie
Illustrator: Helen Oxenbury

Age Group: 4-7 year olds

This book is a cute quick story about a family coming together for a surprise, from the view point of the baby.
Summary:
At first it was just mom and the baby till the doorbell rang.it was Auntie Bibba and she wanted to squeeze the baby. Then the door rang again this time it was Uncle Didi and he wanted to kiss the baby. Then the doorbell rang again and they all looked at each other this time it was Nannie and Gran-Gran and they wanted to eat the baby up so they came in. Then the door rang again, it was Cousin Kay-Kay and big cousin Ross and they wanted to play fight with the baby. Then the house was full and they all waited around for the next ding dong at the door, and then it came and everyone yelled “surprise” Happy birthday Daddy! Then daddy rubbed the baby’s face against his whiskers and they all enjoyed the party. But then it was time for the baby to go to bed, but the baby played bounce bounce in his crib and remembered everyone saying how they wanted to squeeze, kiss, eat, and fight him because they loved him so much.

I believe I would use this book in my class room because this book can be relatable to many kids when talking about family and this book is easy enough for an all by yourself read.

I believe the appropriate grade level for this book would be Pre-K-2nd grade. This book is very easy to read and has very little words to a page and not too complex of vocabulary. This book also has great illustrations to go with the story.

I believe I could use this book on topics of family or as a read aloud book looking for critical listening skills; I would ask the student, while reading, what they think will come next before turning the page.
HAVE FUN READING!💙-Lacy
