This Magic School Bus
book teaches you about the weather and hurricanes. It is a great book to help
introduce the topic of weather to a class and also to have in case the students
are interested in the subject.
Summary:
In the beginning, they are learning about the weather. Ms.
Frizzle said it was a good day for a Field trip to the weather station. But you
know it’s never a normal field trip with Ms. Frizzle, on the way the bus turns
into a hot air balloon. They learn about how clouds form, and rain and then
they go into a hurricane. Then Ms. Frizzle teaches them more about hurricanes
and shows them how they look and how they are made. They even see the eye of
the storm, and then they experience a twister. Eventually they get to the weather
station where they learn more and asked lots of questions. In the end, they
made it back to school and finished their weather projects.
I do believe I can use this book in my classroom as both a
read aloud and a book to have so if the students are interested in that topic
they can read it. The Magic School Bus
books are always a great book to have in the classroom.
The appropriate grade level for this book would be Kinder-4th
grade because it is really easy to read with lots of pictures, it also has a
topic that all ages can learn about. Though, I believe all grades can use this book,
it does have some bigger vocabulary since it is a science book.
I believe I could use this book when teaching about the
weather and about hurricanes. Then after reading, the students will do their
own weather projects just like in the book.
HAVE FUN READING!💙-Lacy
